Cold War-era (1951-1965) logo with diving eagle holding a trident, superimposed on a large A.

Motto: U.S.S. ABBOT / SEMPER PRIMUS [Always First]

Manufactured by the crew of the destroyer tender Yosemite, which also produced the Abbot wardroom ashtray. Year is unknown, though the logo dates from the Cold War.

Plain cast aluminum or aluminum alloy. 7½” high x 7¼” wide x ¼” thick (19cm x 18.5cm x .6cm). Plain back.
